The Collection

Andy Warhol (1928-1987)
Untitled, self-portrait #2, 1985

Pre-production Amiga 1000 computer, pre-release ProPaint software, prototype A-Squared digitizer, JVC video camera.

320 pixels x 200 pixels, 32 colors, original IFF file format.

Created during his Amiga World magazine cover story interview, this self-portrait in profile shows Warhol seated at his Amiga computer, and captures a unique infinity effect of the image repeating.  This image demonstrates Warhol's constant innovation, as he turned the monitor on its side to allow him to produce images in portrait orientation.
